Going to Seattle - Day 2

On this second leg of the trip to Seattle we tackled the State of Oregon. Day one left us just shy of the Oregon Border in a Northern Californian town by the name of Crescent City. All I'll say about Crescent City is that the majority of the population seems to live in either RV's or Trailer Homes. Once you make it into Oregon you find that the state is fairly desolate at points. In the southern part of the state where highways wrap around mountains you might go 25 miles without seeing another person. More unnerving than this is that in most of Northern California and Oregon a cell phone is out of range (Iridium really wasn't such a bad idea). There was some good hiking in Oregon through the National Park Monument area. The star attraction there was the largest known Douglas Fir - it was an impressive sight. Our touring also took us underground where we spelunked through a long series of natural caves.

Life's goal # 673 Driving through Southern Oregon

Walking with the Ancients Trailside - all you hear are birds (Eagles mainly)

Panaromic Oregon

"Big Tree" Environmentalist wannabe

Old Fashioned Police Coffee shop

30 miles of windy roads was worth it Calcium Deposits - they covered immense rooms

Drapery not found at Pottery Barn Stalag - tites, mites, unites

As thick as me, this was pretty cool
