Going to Seattle - Day 1

Its time to leave San Fran and set out for Seattle. We made our way up the Californian coastline along scenic route 1 right into Redwood National Park. Along the way there were amazing cliffside vistas, ancient trees, more hairpin turns then I can remember and of course Ned's Truck Stop (where they offer "Hand Made Beef".) During this drive I was amazed to see bikers and backpackers trekking along this road, especially when you know the next town is many miles away. But in the end the sheer beauty of the Californian coast is matched only by the awesome presence of the mighty Redwoods.
