Castle Coch and Castle Caerfilli

I took a trip away from Cardiff to visit some nearby sites with castles. These castles - especially Caerfilli - are a sight to behold. The amount of construction which must have gone into these is quite impressive. Caerfilli is a castle within a castle complete with two sets of walls, towers and moats. The outer moat is actually a man made lake that prevents tunneling under the castle walls. At one point, after the castle had finished serving its purpose, they tried to destory the towers and were not completely successful. One of the towers has a distinctive lean from when they tried to bring it down.
